Sheet metal is used in many aspects of everyday life that many people may not even realize. It’s often used in automotive components such as the body of a car, in roofing and siding, and in HVAC air ducts and ventilation systems. My objective is to detail and describe the process that goes into sheet metal, how to design your own sheet metal lamp, creating my own lamp design and making the most efficient and cost effective sheet metal lamp design with the goal of using the least amount of sheet metal possible while also calculating the waste made when in production. This is the lamp I will be designing to be more efficient.
