Description

This project tested how well antibiotics work against types of bacteria. The goal was to see how each bacteria grows when exposed to antibiotics. The bacteria were placed on agar plates and treated with antibiotics. After incubation, the plates were observed for growth and zones of inhibition, which show where bacteria did not grow. Colony appearance and growth patterns were also recorded. Results showed that both bacteria were able to grow in the presence of some antibiotics, indicating that they may have some resistance. Differences in growth and colony appearance were also seen between the two bacteria. This project shows that antibiotics do not work the same on all bacteria. It highlights the importance of choosing the right antibiotic for different infections and helps build a basic understanding of antibiotic resistance.
