Description

With the recent development of artificial intelligence (AI) and improvements in three dimensional (3D) printing, scientists wonder how this technology can be used to improve other fields of science. One of these is the medical field, specifically the area of prosthetics. To answer this question, it is important to examine AI’s effect on design and manufacturing, as well as the data driven algorithms behind it, including Multi-Layer Perceptron and Convolutional Nueral Networks, and its effects on medical 3D printing. These innovations that have occured and are curently underway will greatly benefit the manufacturing and design of prostheses, while there are some concerns regarding stability of AI.
