Description

Bioinformatics tools were used to analyze a protein of unknown function in order to better understand its structure and potential biological role. The main problem addressed was determining the function of a protein with a known structure but no assigned role. Tools such as BLAST,InterPro,Foldseek, and CLEAN were used to examine sequence, structural features, and potential functional predictions. Based on the analysis of these tools, protein 1I6N is suggested to function as a 2-keto-myo-inositol isomerase
