Description
From automobiles to street signs to appliances and buildings, sheet metal is used in numerous ways. Its strength, ability, and low cost make it easier to produce, which is why it is widely used. However, you may be thinking, what’s wrong with that? well, even though it's flexible and cuttable, it often produces excess material, also known as waste. It can be melted or recycled, but it can still be wasteful if not minimized during the design and layout process. In this project, I will explain the process of sheet metal fabrication and demonstrate it through a unique lamp design. The main goal is to minimize waste during the manufacturing of the lamp directly from sheet metal.
