Description

The freshly peeled apples and the freeze-dried peeled apples used the same extraction procedure, and no alternations were made. The results of the extraction revealed that certain chemical components remained present, regardless of the extraction. The gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GCMS) was used to obtain the extraction. The final results indicated that certain fragrances, and pesticides such as 1,3 octanediol, and pyrimethanil were present in the freshly peeled apples and freeze-dried peeled apples.
