Description

Project Statement Sheet metal is a versatile material used to manufacture many everyday items, including vehicle components, doors and window frames, ovens, mailboxes, and lamps. In this exploration, we will focus on designing patterns for sheet metal products while optimizing the manufacturing process to minimize material waste and improve efficiency. Sheet Metal Information The manufacturing process begins with cutting the sheet metal, which can be done using methods such as laser cutting, water jet cutting, or plasma cutting. Once cut, the sheets go through a forming process that shapes them to the required dimensions. The individual components are then assembled and secured using fasteners, screws, or rivets, or they may be welded together for a stronger bond. Finally, the assembled parts undergo finishing treatments such as painting or coating to enhance durability and appearance.https://www.zetwerk.com/resources/knowledge-base/sheet-metal/sheet-metal-manufacturing/
