Description

Using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry and Thin-Layer Chromatography, the compounds that compose a grocery-store apple were identified, compared, and tested for impurities both before and after going through a dehydration process—freeze-drying. The pre and post freeze-dried apple samples had only one compound in common, with the post sample containing multiple new compounds.
