Description
Sheet metal is used to create many things that we interact with in our daily lives. It’s used for roofing and siding on houses but also for making car bodies and refrigerators, things we interact with daily. In this project, I will be talking about how objects using sheet metal are manufactured. This includes the cutting, joining, and metal finishing processes. I will also talk about how we could optimize the sheet metal manufacturing process to reduce waste by maximizing the space used on the sheet metal during the cutting process.
