Description

Small World Initiative research based lab searches for novel antibiotic producing bacteria by collecting a sample of dirt. Serial dilution was used to obtain a pure culture of candidates with the potential for antibiotic production. The potential antibiotic producing bacteria were tested against both gram negative and gram positive bacteria. My projected result of this research is that I will find antibiotic production of candidate organism and will identify what organism is producing this antibiotic.
