Description

This project examined behavioral and genetic factors influencing social behavior in domestic dogs. Students at JCCC evaluated shelter dogs by assigning scores based on interactions with familiar and unfamiliar people. Genetic analysis was also conducted to identify potential markers linked to hypersocial behavior using DNA extraction, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. This study aimed to better understand canine sociability.
