Description
JCCC students during classroom time went to a dog shelter to explore the topic of genetics specially whether or not a dog had presented the friendliness gene on chromosome 6. When attending the dog shelter students would see how dogs interacted with them vs the trainers that they see everyday.By conducting a specific genotypic and phenotypic test. This test was done to identify if they had the “friendliness” gene or the hyper-social adaptations that we know them for. With DNA extractions, PCR, and Electrophoresis testing it helped present there discoveries.
