Description
The Protein Structure Initiative provides 3D (three-dimensional) structure of proteins, improving our understanding of the correlation between a protein sequence and their 3D structure; however, the correlation between functions has yet to be identified for many proteins. The unknown protein (3af5) was analyzed to determine its potential function using bioinformatic tools such as protein database, Interpro, BLAST, FOLDseek, and CLEAN. Results support protein (3af5) likely functions as an RNA-processing enzyme, specifically related to beta-CASP ribonucleases as aCPSF1.
