Description

There are thousands of proteins in a protein database with no current known function, creating a gap in scientists' knowledge. The goal of this research is to potentially identify a protein and its function, which may help shorten this gap. The protein 1i6n was tested using tools that include the Protein Database, Protein BLAST, InterPro, FoldSeek, and CLEAN. My results for protein 1i6n show consistency, with all tests giving results for an isomerase enzyme.
