Description
This Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience CURE) in Dr. Deborah Williams' EVRN 131: Environmental Science Laboratory focuses on urban wildlife surveillance in Peculiar, MO. Using trail cameras we investigated the diversity and behavior of birds in urban and suburban environments. Using Bushnell trail cameras placed in a backyard in Peculiar, MO for 6 weeks, we documented the presence and activity patterns of Birds. We explored the impact of urbanization on local wildlife populations while developing skills in field research methods, data analysis, and scientific communication.
