Description

The purpose of this research is to monitor the potential occupation of flying squirrels in Johnson County. Flying squirrels have been studied as far as Manhattan, Kansas and Pittsburg, Kansas; but they have yet to be researched and studied in the Johnson County area. According to research, flying squirrels make noises that are faint or cannot be heard by the human ear. So, the advanced sound devices should allow for researchers to hear the really low and really high noise frequencies. The goal of the research is to see if there are flying squirrels in the area, observe their activities, and try to understand why and how they are able to inhabit this area.
