Description

The use of sheet metal dates back thousands of years to ancient Egypt, where it was crafted into jewelry. Today, sheet metal remains an essential part of our daily lives, where it can be found in everything from phones and laptops to automobiles, roofing, airplanes, and even rocket ships. Given its importance in modern society and the large quantities produced daily, optimizing the manufacturing process can lead to several significant benefits, including reduced costs, improved quality, faster production, and lower environmental impact. This research will explore the primary steps involved in transforming sheet metal into everyday products, while showing the layout of a lamp that could be created using sheet metal as an example.
