Description

Given the abundance of microplastics in a lot of our water, it's important to know how it interacts with HAB (harmful algae blooms) and see if we can draw any conclusions based on what happens to the polluted algae. In our experiment, we're testing how the abundance of microplastics affects algae growth. We set this up by counting the amount of microplastics in water sample given a single frame in a microscope (10x). We then compare how algae with low amounts of microplastics compare to algae with high amounts of microplastics by measuring turbidity.
