Description
There currently is an abundance of known protein sequences without known complementary functions. Utilizing bioinformatics, we are able to deduce reasonable tertiary or quaternary structures for these unknown proteins and by following the core biological concept of “structure dictates function” to deduce the function of the aforementioned protein. In doing this we can gain valuable experience in the field of Biochemistry while contributing towards the accumulated knowledge of mankind.
