Description

The goal of this study was to discover antimicrobial agents capable of combating clinically relevant pathogens. To achieve this, a comprehensive experimental approach was utilized. Serial dilutions, master plating, and antibiotic screening against ESKAPE pathogens were used to identify a promising candidate based on observed zones of inhibition. Metabolic testing, PCR, and gel electrophoresis were used to determine the identity of the candidate. This study successfully identified antimicrobial compounds originating from a soil sample.
