Description
We plan to use alanine and valine to synthesize a dipeptide using the carbodiimide compound EDC. We will use Boc- protection to protect the N-terminus of alanine and esterification to protect the C-terminus of valine. The dipeptide will then be analyzed by TLC, HNMR, polarimetry, IR and HPLC and tested for its anti-microbial activity.
