Description
My name is Alyssa Beckham, enrolled in the most invigorating microbiology class in which we are doing astonishing, necessary research to benefit the world. Considerable problems today are antibiotic resistance and the lack of research for new antibiotics. With this, we took on this problem, gathered diverse soil, challenged them against the safe relatives of the ESKAPE pathogens, and chose many candidates based on inhibition zones from the pathogen. My cultivated soil's bacterium held no inhibition zones to any pathogen. I then adopted a candidate from a classmate who had too many candidates to research on their own. I will continue to investigate my newly isolated candidate and depict whether or not I have found a new or known possible antibiotic. The data that will identify this newfound bacterium will be at the symposium. There shall be many beautiful diagrams and pictures as well. If you wish to see all of my intriguing research and whether or not I have identified a new antibiotic, then you must visit me at this coming symposium.
