Description
Antibiotic resistance is growing more and more in our world today. In the efforts to fight antibiotic resistance, a research project was done to hope to find new antimicrobials from soil. To do this soil samples were serially diluted to help look for zones of inhibition. Candidates were then tested against the Safe Relatives of the ESKAPE pathogens. More testing was done to identify the organism through the process of metabolic testing and sequencing. All of this was done in hopes that in the future the compound produced from the candidate can be tested.
