Description
The overarching goal for performing a serial dilution on soil is to see what biodiversity lies in the environment around us and how we can use that to incite research and development for new antibiotics. As we continue to see a rise in antibiotics resistance, research for new antibiotics appears to be at an impasse. This experiment has allowed me to obtain microbes that were able to show zones of inhibition on safe relatives of ESKAPE pathogens. Identification of the organism through metabolic testing and sequencing will also be done.
