Description
Since the discovery of antibiotics in the 1940’s, they’ve been used to cure many different diseases across the world. There are various ways to grow bacteria in labs. For our experiment, we opted for one of the easiest, fastest, and cheapest methods, the soil serial dilution method. The experiment conducted in class with our own soil from Eastern Kansas turned out to be astonishing and successful. Indeed, we observed different species of bacteria. While some of the bacteria were unable to inhibit the growth of selected ESKAPE’s save relatives, others were able to. In fact, most of these bacteria inhibited the growth of a few save relatives of the ESKAPE pathogens; including Pseudomonas putida and E. Coli.
