Description

Antibiotic resistant ESKAPE pathogens have become a huge problem in today's society. The Small World Initiative is a program that is researched by college students. Their goal is to find a new antibiotic in the US. Finding a soil sample will be the start of the project and then begin with a serial dilution. After the serial dilution, you look at your plates and see if there are any zones of any inhibition. For my project, I did find a plate that had zones of inhibition. After finding them, I did a series of tests to identify what it actually is.
