Description
The problem with the antibiotic-resistant pathogen has been increased for many years. The Small World Initiative is a fantastic program for a college student in JCCC searching for an antibiotic in a microbiology lab. The process starts with the sample soil from the environment complement with required characteristics. The soil has been through serial dilution and isolates with a series of methods. Candidate EM5, which show a zone of inhibition to ESKAPE relative bacteria is chosen to proceed to the next step. To obtain a pure culture, the streak plate method is performed. The following steps for this research will be performing PCR and antibiotic screening for my candidate pathogen.
