Abstract
With a minimum financial investment in software and hardware, instructors can create visual learning tools for their students. Online students can "see" their instructor while learning a concept. Instructors can create step-by-step video tutorials for students that answer "frequently asked questions." In this sesion participants will discuss the various tools and techniques used to create Vodcasts for an online XHTML course. We'll discuss the pros and cons of using "freeware" (Jing and CamStudio) software to create screen capture videos plus the advantages and disadvantages of various Vodcasting file formats (.wmv, .avi, .swf, .flv).
