Description
To aid in the fight against antibiotic resistant bacteria, I isolated multiple unique colonies from a soil sample I collected and tested them against safe relatives of the ESKAPE pathogens. The colony that was most effective at inhibiting the growth of safe relatives will continue to be analyzed for the remainder of the semester to determine if it is a novel bacteria that produces antibiotic compounds.
