Description

In this project we are searching through a protein database that contains thousands of proteins with no known function. The tools we will be using for this project include the protein database, BLAST which is a tool we will be using to tell us information about the function of the protein by using its primary sequence, InterPro is another tool we will be using to determine common domains or motifs in our protein sequence, DALI is a tool that we will use to determine the 3D structure of our protein and compare it to other 3D structures, FoldSeek will help us determine our other proteins 3D structures, and CLEAN background is a tool that uses machine learning utilizing the amino acid sequence to determine enzyme function using enzyme commission numbers. We hope to determine our protein structure and biological function.
