Description
Antibiotic resistance is very important research. Many people die from infections because antibiotics no longer work. It is discovered that there are antibiotics in soil bacteria that kill infections known to be resistant. I used a serial dilution plate method to grow bacteria from my collected soil sample. My chosen candidate is round smooth colonies with convex elevation. It is shiny with a mucoid texture and an off white color. The gram status is Bacillus palisade gram-positive with few spores. Overall, my research involves culturing bacteria to determine what type of organism it is and if it can help with antibiotic resistance.
