Description
Sound synthesis has been used in music to mimic familiar sounds and to create new and interesting sounds for almost seven decades. The oscillator is an example of a dynamical system used to create interesting, musical sounds. We will explore ways in which sound synthesis has evolved since the first analog oscillators to techniques used in modern digital sound synthesis.
