Description
This experiment is to see if I can eliminate down to one microbe from my master plate that I have created, that can withstand against other strains that we use in our lab class. These strains that we test our microbe with are important because they came from different parts of the environment. So I am checking to see which strain does my microbe inhibit the best. So far, I have not found one specifically that my microbe has inhibited. interestingly though, it has been inhibiting against the other candidates that I had used to test against the strains. As well as when I did my streak plate for candidate 5, it had accidentally got put in the body temperature incubator instead of the room temperature, however it was still was able to survive and grow. Which means that what I had collected from the dirt outside of my apartment could possibly be pathogenic. I am hoping in the end that I will succeed and can find that one candidate to take and learn more about its properties.
