Description
Candidate DY1 is strain of bacteria that was extracted from soil right outside of Starbucks off of 119th and I35. From testing, Candidate DY1 is shown to produce antibiotic compounds capable of fighting off 4 relatives of highly dangerous bacteria. This project seeks to dive into the promising potential usage of Candidate DY1 in medical settings for creating new antibiotics for many different diseases.
