Description
Soil has been shown to have many different types of bacteria living in it, known and unknown. With the collection of a soil sample, test have been run against a self-collected sample to show what was in it. The anticipated result was a candidate that was able to inhibit a safe relative of an ESKAPE pathogen. This was found and the bacteria labeled Johnny became my testing candidate for the remainder of the experiment. Johnny inhibited four different safe relatives of ESKAPE pathogens of the six total. With this candidate testing will continue until a known pathogen is identified.
