Description
A series of experiments have been performed to test a soil sample I collected outside of my apartment complex for antibiotic properties. I also performed other test to inquire about certain characteristics of the bacteria. The soil samples were serially diluted in order to obtain colonies. Nine colonies were collected to test for antibiotic properties for my semester project. I tested these samples against ESKAPE pathogens to find antibiotic properties. Other test that were performed to learn about the characteristics of the bacteria were the Oxidase and Catalase test. Stains such as the Gram, Acid Fast, and Endospore were also preformed to learn more about the bacteria.
