Description
Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is becoming a cause for concern. Most antibiotics that we used today are produced in laboratories. An antibiotic is a substance that inhibits the growth of or destroys microorganisms. The principal aim of this study is to find antibiotics in soil samples. This project focus on obtaining a pure culture of an antibiotic producing bacteria in order to find a possible candidate that may produce a new antibiotics. The candidate organism will be identified by sequencing and metabolic testing.
