My research focuses on the experience of women suffering from primary ovarian insufficiency. Primary ovarian insufficiency is the dysfunction or depletion of the ovarian reserve with cessation of menstrual cycles before the age of 40 years. A survey was designed in order to explore women's self reports about their diagnosis, their access to treatments, and resources that play a role in the management of the chronic condition. Data analysis gives us an insight into the factors that make the management of primary ovarian insufficiency challenging. Our goal is to propose solutions that will increase self-awareness, self-advocacy and self-management of the disease.
