Description

Antibiotic resistance has become an increasingly large problem worldwide. These bacteria have altered themselves and their environments to become resistant to the antibiotics we have become so independent on. The Small World Initiative involves college students and professors working together to find bacteria with antibacterial qualities. These bacteria are derived from soil samples found in the community from various places. These soil samples are collected and documented and then used to find and grow bacteria. I have found a candidate that shows antibacterial zones of inhibition against various strains of bacteria.
