Description
The species lavandula was chosen for study, analyzation, and comparison in different forms. Gas chromatography is used to separate a sample into its individual organic chemical components. Isolated individual compounds so that chemical elements can be identified. Mass spectrometry is used to produce a spectrum of each of the individual components that are within an organic sample. The spectrometer ionizes chemical compounds to generated charged molecular fragments and measures their mass/charge ratio. Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry were two analytical techniques used to determine the abundant chemical compounds that were detected in lavender oil and lavender buds.
