Title
Flipped Learning in Mathematics
Abstract
Chris Imm used his sabbatical in 2015 to create a Flipped Classroom environment for his math classes. Using student surveys and student success data to focus his work, Imm created and compiled short videos and course materials for student learning outside of the classroom. He found the flipped class effectively prepared students for higher-level university studies. Further, the “flipped class” taught students to work more independently as well to interact more with classmates in small groups, and to use their textbook more effectively. This video reports his results.
