Description
My research on the intersection of gender and race has prompted me to look closely at African American writer Ibi Zoboi’s short story, “The Farming of Gods,” in order to analyze how the writer and narrator utilize paratext and architext to critique the exploitation and demonization of Vodou practices in American literature.
