Description
Lowering the price-point of entry makes online learning possible for lower-income students. While all programs cannot afford laptops for their students, there are other options to help us discover, connect, and engage with these potential learners. This is a step-by-step class to teach you how to set-up a fully functional computer ready for online learning for around $100.* This computer can operate Blackboard, Canvas, and other cloud-based software. This computer is NOT slow or clunky (it has a 64 bit 1.2GHz Quad Core Processor), and can be used anywhere with internet access. The setup process is quick and painless. We will spend part of the class time demonstrating the Pi’s use with multiple applications.
*Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Starter Kit. Will use a tv/monitor with HDMI – not included in price.
