Description
An integral part of 21st century student learning includes the daily use of mobile devices. The challenges with mobile devices, full of their interactive interfaces, is how do students personally use the mobile devices to enhance learning and how do teachers implement and manage mobile device use? The gained meaning of students cognitive processes in the use of mobile devices provides valuable insight which, shared with school leaders and educators, can promote a better understanding about how to effectively integrate technology in learning practices for students. Findings from examined lived experiences of students revealed a gained understanding of how students are using mobile devices as extra support in their Zone of Proximal Development. This presentation will address what this means for teachers and students.
