Event Title
Designing and Building a Digital Entomology Lab at K-State
Location
Regnier Center 175
Start Date
5-8-2011 8:30 AM
Description
K-State is building a digital entomology lab to supplement its online and face-to-face entomology, agriculture, and horticulture courses. This endeavor served to replace the face-to-face entomology lab where students study trays of insects that belong to particular orders, suborders, and families. This presentation describes the original design; the logistics of the visual captures and the technological substructures, and the building of related assignments. There are “lessons learned” and “anticipated challenges” for building science-based digital laboratories.
