Abstract

This book review of R. Anandan’s “A Closer Look at Big Data Analysis” offers various use cases for analyzing big data in practical ways using off-the-shelf tools and available methods. The work highlights some of the machine learning and other techniques that may be used to extract insights. One work focuses on using Scratch to teach computational thinking. Another focuses on bird migration. Yet another pulls data from an online food ordering app.
