Book review: Using social media for social goods
This article reviews Walter J. Kahn’s “Social Media in the 21st Century,” an edited collection of four research works around Facebook and Instagram, including the harnessing of social media for political ends, the creation of FOMO and self-regard, visuals and purchase intentions, and social semiotics.
