Description
A strain of a Bacillus bacteria was previously isolated by a JCCC microbiology student. This bacteria was shown to produce an antibiotic that inhibited the growth of E. coli when grown competitively. In this project, we worked to extract and isolate the antibiotic compounds produced by this strain of bacteria.
