Description
Antibiotic resistant pathogens is a serious problem in treatment nowadays, especially ESKAPE pathogens. Finding to new antibiotic is a necessary thing in the current stage of medical system all over the world. To open many opportunities in finding new antibiotics, the Small World Initiative created a program that all students in the colleges and universities can participate in research. In microbiology class, every student collected a soil sample and did serial dilution it. After that, we observed to discover the zone of inhibition of isolated bacteria. From these steps, I found out a candidate VV8 that had a sign of the inhibition the other organisms. Then, I continue to carry out the steps to identify what species the candidate is.
