Description

The ESKAPE PATHOGEN project will aide me in determining an antibiotic for the Escherichia coli virus. E. coli effects numerous individuals everyday around the world. All humans have E. coli residing in their intestines, but too much can be caused by food poising, etc... Finding an antibiotic against this pathogen would save many lives and cure sickness. My soil sample was taken from a local park where I spend a lot of time. Through the process of soil dilutions, bacterial plating and smear, and specific plating and growing media, I will attempt to find a candidate (a possible subject or anti body) that is resistant to the ESKAPE Pathogens such as E. coli.
